Program Overview For 3rd Istanbul Fellowship Program

Details of the schedule will be announced on 1st February 2018. Until then, you can find the main content of our program below. 
 

An appointment system will be set that will enable our fellows and Turkish publishers to set up meetings to exchange ideas on copyright agreements. During these meetings, publishers will have the opportunity to transfer knowledge about their countries’ publishing market, share their predictions about what they can do to develop more of bilateral support and partnership. 30 minutes meetings will be set beforehand with the appointment system and translation service in different languages will be provided between fellows and Turkish publishers. 
 

After fair opening, fellows will be divided into groups based on their publication types and have a tour in fair ground. In these tours, fellows will visit the Turkish publishing houses in their stands and/or offices according to their schedules.
 

During the program, there will be many various types of presentations about digital and audio publishing, PLR and copyright agreements. 
 

Leading names of publishing industry from Turkey and overseas will have industrial presentations. The mentioned displays will cover children’s book, cultural and academic publishing, copyright exchanges and so on. The presentations will be delivered by high-ranked professionals in their fields. 
 

During the program, a dining Bosporus tour with will be organized for publishers to enjoy breathe-taking view of Istanbul and widen their network.
 

As a part of the program, national and foreign participants will meet authorities from The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Governorship of Istanbul at various dinners.
